Is there such a thing as a PSU with between 40-45A on the +3.3VDC rail, 34-40 on the +12VDC rail, and 24-30 on the +5VDC rail?? If there is, I haven't been able to find it. Anything more than that is overkill for the system Im building, and too expensive. Has anyone seen a PSU like this?

Zippy 6700P has what your looking for 700W monster

Personally I use the 6701P which has higher 12 and less on the 3.3/5v lines

Thats exaclty the problem Im having. That enermax's 3.3 rail is to low, and the 5 rail on the zippy is too high..... and that one is a little too expensive. I've been mainly looking at the Enermax's and the Zippy's. There has GOT to be something else....

5v raild on zippy too high?
you can never have too much LOL. There are other Zippys, I am doing PS review and man that 6701P is such a beast I can't recommend it enough. However it is darned pricey, but if your building such a big puter, dont' skimp on the PS

Yeah..... I know..... Im just worried about my budget at the moment. Im going to recalculate my price list and see if I have room for that PSU. I'll post in a short while when Im done.

You gotta be kidding...... I wish I could get the 3700+! Going any lower than the 3500+ is the last thing I want to do. This system has to outperform a high end gaming system, because its going to be used for the development of a retail game. Plus I like that extra power under the hood. Im not the conservative type. :D

I want an engine that growls, and a woman that purrs!

I am overclocking with water cooling, using a radiator I plan on getting from Weapon. Anyone seen him lately?

If I had the money... and there was a really good NEWER board like the new2 platinum that supported dual 64's, and had the newest nVidia chipset, then yeah I'd do it. But I just don't have the money. Maybe... I dunno. Sucks really. I might end up saving up longer for a more decent CPU. I've been thinking about doing that all this week.... but I havn't had my own computer for several months and Im getting sick of using someone elses. And I wanna play Far Cry!!!!! LOL Im not even sure I need a duely, Im in charge of photography and textures, and Im helping out with the think tank, plus I get to help out a little with voice acting, modeling, map design, story development, character development, etc. I like to kinda have my fingers in everything. :D I have more fun that way, and it helps me keep the team together cause I get to interact with all of them.

Yeah..... the thing is that this system has to beat even high end gaming machines sold on the market today, yeah the expensive ones. The reason? This game will be released in 3 or 4 years. By then 512 vcards will be available, more people will have migrated to higher speed connections, MUCH faster cpu's will be available, faster higher res screens will be on the market, higher speed memory will be on the market, more people will be into gaming, etc, etc, etc, the list goes on forever. The problem is, we have to develope it starting now. The other problem is, I don't have the kind of funding I need to build the proper computer for this undertaking at the moment, so I guess my involvement in the project will be delayed for a month or two. Dammit.... this really sucks. Oh well.... Its going to take a month or longer to finish building the graphics/photography suite upstairs.... guess I can work during that time and accomplish a few things at once.
