you can try xbench, but you wont be able to compare it to a regular PC.

xbench is really the mac benching standard now. I don't think there is anything else, besides doing a code compile test or SPEC or something.

on the CPU there is usually a resistor that controls what speed it runs at.

here's my thread. It worked, but I had to add a fan so it wouldn't overheat. Not really worth it, but fun to try.

yea i havent found macs very exciting, sure there are less viruses aimed at getting into the mac operating systems but this about their only advantage imo.

they have some, but yeah software support isn't that big. Kinda sad...could be a very nice platform

There might be a way so that when you load a game on a mac that it shows the FPS, but I'm not sure about that. I have an older mac so I cant test it, but I know someone who can

sup guys
i found a benchmark called CineBench 2003 thats supposed to be for mac & pc both.
it appears to be pretty popular, judging by its appearance on the most popular downloads list of guru3d.

Hmm.

I love macs. Everything about them. Stylish, powerfull, reliable. Though also expensive and dull - the high point of "tweaking" it is installing Mac OS...

But as a work laptop nothing comes close to them. Thier displays are also magnificent, though I would take my DFI setup over a G5 any time, because I can make this computer crash without trying too hard, but mainly, play around with it so long untill you get the most performance out of it :D
