no you can't flash a 6800 with a GT bios.

the 6800 uses DDR1, the GT uses DDR3, all that happens is the screen goes nuts, if it works at all. I did it with my 6800's in the past. not a good idea, useless.

only way to unlock a 6800 is with rivatuner, or some heavy bios modding of the actual bios itself. which if your not familiar with a hex editor, it's not a good idea.

yep, just did alittle homework.

seems the PCI EX version of the 6800 NU has no hidden pipelines. it's physically only got 12 pipelines. you can't make this a 16P card any more then you could a mod a 9800 pro to be a 12 pipeline card....

atleast, according to the guys at guru3d.

If you can provide me yoru Original BIOS I can check if the BIOS has locked pipelines. As around 75% of all AGP 6800's have that...
NVIDIA GeForce BIOS Backup Guide (http://www.mvktech.net/content/view/14/37)
And then just mail it to me and I will check it out...

Well we help each other basically...
I collect GeForce BIOS's on my site and well I also know how to look at them. So if you provide oen at least I can take a look and give some feedback. :-)

I didn't know the PCI-Express 6800NU uses the NV41 instead of the NV40, I tought it would have taken longer before the NV41 was released.

Well no the PCI-E now used the NV41 (6800) and the NV45 (GT/Ultra)...
