I nearing a wall with my PC2700 ram. Its ancient and i need to upgrade.

I just read a post about DDR450 BH-5 Twinmos and DDR400 CH-5. Who knows for sure how soon or if that will every happen.

In the mean time, what is the best for my abit nf7-s v2 board? I would perfer to buy new sticks, not used BH-5 on ebay.

I've read good things about Twinmos Speed Premium, but what about their Twister Pro Dual Channel PC3200 (2-2-2-5)? What kind of bandwidth is possible on nf2? Better than speed premium?

Also, i'm pretty sure about this one, but the new TCCD chips doesn't do as well as BH-5, BH-6, and such on nf2 boards correct?

Look into either Abit NF7-S or DFI Lanparty/Infinity.

i would go for that twinmos and a booster. TCCD runs well@AMDXP, but runs better under A64 rigs. That winbond UTT seems to perform really well @ amd xp and AMD64 (in AMDXP you have the nf2 limit, but they perform well).

I wish i'd helped you.

afaik, the Vtt doesn't track on an NF7, so the OCZ booster may be of limited use once you go beyond 3.1volts

the speed premium was my choice and getting a booster was also.

thanks

are the 256 modules at new egg the right ones (UTT)?

if there is a better place that has been mentioned in the 64 page twinmos thread could you help me out with it. 64 pages is a lot to read.

tictac UTT's does 240@2-2-2 with only 2.95v!! 2x256 in dual channel. Those are really good modules.

Themolt, sorry, i'm from spain and i really don't pay attention where to achieve them. Newegg usually has them...

Good luck with your new memory! :D

well... hope not to be murdered after this... u have also AN7 from Abit. i know it might seem a bit harsh to put it along side with DFi Infinity but it really is a good board and really performs well with the latest moded bios.
and i speak with experience here. ;)
(plus u have 3.2vdimm :D )

Enok, the issue is that he already has the mobo (or that seems... at least for me).

I had an AN7, and my PC3000 BH-5 was not memtest stable @ 222 with 3.2v (and a bit of overvolt)

The same memory, on my new DFI, performs to 245 with 3.15v memtest #5 looping stable!

I've decided that my next board will be a DFI also.

Booster seems to work fine with the NF7, but you may have to move the heatsink on it for it to fit.

UTT, BH5, TCCD all work great on the NF7 with the right BIOS... I would get the UTT from TwinMOS, simply due to how cheap it is!
