If you want 275 @ 2.5-3-3-7, might as well get the G.skill LE's. They guarantee you that at stock and 200 @ 2-2-2-5 with no more than 2.8v.

yep his was in dual channel running 2x512 sticks at 1T.....great rams....but i would recommend gskill as its garanteed these speeds.....

Is anyone getting better results with increased Vdimm......? Or is there a preferred value for Vdimm...?

Well any more thoughts? Been a week since anyone replied. Anand hit 290 Mhz at 2.5-4-3-10 1T with only 2.85V, so waht gives lol.

I love AnandTech and the reviews on their site. Most people, however, believe that they receive cherry-picked components for their reviews. This explains why they can reach certain frequencies that many others can not. Take for example the Crucial Ballistix they did a review on. A lot of people have stated in the past that they weren't able to nail the same frequencies. ;)

my 3200rev2 benched at 285, stable at 280. i was upgraded to 4200el's when i rma'd my 3700eb's (didn't play nice with neo2) and found the 4200el's to be a little worse than the 3200rev2 and only run stable at 275. all timings are 2.5-3-3-10. i've noticed that it takes 5-10mhz overclock in order to make up for the bandwidth loss from loosening timings from 2.5-3-3-10 to 2.5-3-4-10. i've also noticed that 2-2-2-10 timings vs. 2.5-3-3-10 timings, the difference is about 30mhz.

right now i'm having more fun with vx since there's something to look forward to with burning in. imo half the fun of ram is burning-in and wondering if tomorrow your results will be better than today's. of course, i'm waiting for dfi board to play more with vx since my neo2 has been acting funky as of late.

so your saying that 2-2-2-10 @ 220 Mhz would be the same as 2.5-3-3-10 at 250 Mhz?

In what Sandra? Or just general desktop performance?

Mine do 300mhz 2,5-4-3-3-7 2,8vdimm 1T in a DFI 250gb UT. :toast:
What kinda scores do you guys get in sandra ?
4600+ is the score I get in "memory bandwith".
Is this good for a singlechannel system ?

282 memtest86 and prime95 approved @2.5-3-3-7 1t w/2.70v 2x512mb.
They seem to be ok @ 292 3.0-4-3-8 2t but what's the point?

I run mine at 255 2.5,3,3,10 1T on 2.6v in my DFI UI. Running either of the sticks on their own tho i'm memtest stable up to 275 with the same timings and volts. I think my boards maxed tho.

282 is wicked, if i hit 278 then i will be happy because 9x278 = 2.5Ghz

wat about the highest 2-2-2 timing with this ram? anyone hit 230?

Shawnister

Ive seen 270 2-2-2-8 at 3.3V on a NF2 board. Typically though this ram is not the biggest fan or Volts. But this stuff is awsome for incredibly high frequencies. at 2.8-2.9v u cld prolly get around 300mhz on the current week of TCCD 2.5-3-3 might do it,
otherwise 2.5-4-4 will no problem.

Kudos

Devil: I get 275 (limited by ondie controller) 2.5-3-3-7 2.7 volts... and I found at 225 i can do 2-2-2-5/6 at 2.9 volts. Havnt tried lower volts at the 225.. When i get a new a64 i will try more vdim and see what I can get.

Hmm, no more than 235-240 on the two sets i have. This is on the asus a8nsli so may be board related. Have tried all sorts of timings, settled in the end on 230 2,3,2,8.

Current Prime stable speed is 2.5-4-3-7 at 300mhz with 2.9 volts (2 x 512). They will, I think, go faster, but my Winnie maxes out at just above 2400mhz (x8 multi), so I'll keep it here for now. I might try playing with the timings a bit to increase bandwidth. The Mobo is a DFI SLI-DR. They maxed out at 275-280 on my Neo2 Plat.
