nice, what voltage you set for vdimm, and did you use ddr booster? i got same results with super pi 1mb.

agor

no ddr booster since it is tccd. i got 2.7vdimm

you get better performance at 2.7V than 2.85V?

looking good! :)

I find that 2.65-2.7 is the sweet spot for my LE.

NICE!
im really looking into getting some of this stuff, onyl thing is im on S754

Kanavit

hmm, try to find some single sided memory if possible for single channel. i'm not sure if s754 will handle double density sticks very well. you may want to go for 2x256mb tccd , instead of 2x512.

SIKLCELL - how far did u get the LE on ur S754? and what timings/volts etc?

SIK_L_CELL
01-22-2005, 07:31 AM
Higher voltage actually capped my FSB lower with my pair of LE's.

Kanavit
01-22-2005, 07:33 AM
My LE don't like 2.7v. it's 2.8v or no boot at all.

I only used it in there for a short time but was stable and gaming at 275 2.5.3.3.10. I prefer 10 for AMD's. But It would run 7 fine.

Really? I have hed three sets and all liked low Vdmm. Maybe its a board issue?

Running the lc on a dfi ,280x8 ran sd mark 01 at 2.5 3 3 7 , 2.8vlts ,but I got a older cpu , so it won't handle running 9 x272 , its a cg 3200 cg 2.5 claw.

That's really nice. so some friends won't say just OPB can do that with his own ram:D

are those speeds likely on a S754 board?

enzoR
01-22-2005, 02:40 PM
depends on CPU ;)

Korpse

3400NC (0440) if that helps :p

enzoR
01-22-2005, 02:51 PM
well it depends on how high that CPU can handle. if the sticks are capable they can do it they wont be the thing holding you back.

Korpse
01-22-2005, 03:00 PM
cpu can do 2.65ghz ;)

enzoR
01-22-2005, 03:12 PM
no it depends on what the CPU memory controller will be capable of.

Zeus

More than likely, bandwidth will be a lot less due to single channel of course. ;)

yea the sible channel would even be less stressfull on the rams.

Mine aren't Gskill but the 2x512 LE dual channel kits are widely available afaik.
They are here in The Netherlands for about €280,-

hm can you help me get 275 2,5-3-3-7 stable? its when i play for a while (1 hour quake3 or anything else) it just freezes and i dont know why. the cpu is not hot, but i cant say how hot it is (neo2 says 42°C, but the temp probes suck)
and i dont know how to get it stable, really

I can't wait to get my gig of gskill le! dam those are insane amounts of bandwidth!

Hey Korpse the dudes over at EOCF consist of 16 year-olds who have to save their lunch money for a year to get a 9800pro. Some of the most idiotic people I have ever ran across reside in that forum. The owner and mods are complete lackeys and most of them are downright dumb when it comes to some things. The owner runs the place like a prison where the smallest little thing will get you banned for nothing. Rabid has an ego bigger than godzilla and I forget the other mods name but he is a complete jerk. When they banned schroomer for arguing a point with a 14 year-old that says everything you need to know about that place.

Hey guys, I am running the same g.skill memory that should do 2.5-3-3-7, however I must be setting incorrect timing in the bios. I have the Abit Av8, so I have a bunch of setting, its the via kt880 board i think.
going down the list of dram timing options, this is what i use but get a bit of errors, any help appreciated:

Korpse - I think you will find that the UK retail for these sticks is £205.63 at Chillblast or €302 at pc-memory-upgrade (about £208.79 using xe.com). Therefore you selling them for £195 which is your words is £50 of retail isnt so much of a bargain. In fact I would go as far to say that no-one knowing the price at the above 2 online stores would buy them from you to save £10-£15 when you could get them brand new and have all the guarrantees of buying from a retail outlet.

CPUcity also sell Gskill RAM, but as yet only have the LC and LA kits. Chillblast have the LA and LE and pc-memory-upgrade and all three - LC,LE,LA.

AV8 cannot handle G.Skill memory at high speeds. Could not get it stable at anything higher than 230fsb... Yesterday I bought/build-in the MSI K8N Neo2 and the first boot was at 275x9, rockstable. Check the forum at gskill.com.tw.
