I am looking to get my WC setup going this weekend.

I have a maze3 and some clearflex tubing and via aqua 1300 pump. I need a Nice radiator/heatercore to fit in my case(Antec/chieftec tower). Would prefer to stay with 1 120mm fan but I will do 2 if really that much of a benefit.

thanks

I would go w/ this rad/shroud setup:

If that's too expensive, I'd buy a chevette heatercore(identical to that rad minus the barbs, which can be done easily enough) & make a shroud out of thin sheet metal or something of the sort. Entirely up to you :)

it works as a charm with my gemini, but it's a bit difficult to take the air out.

Here is a sweet radiator/shroud. It not only performs top notch but it looks ohhhh so sweeet.

Here is a peak at this beautiful creation. As far as looks vs performance I have not seen anything better yet, IMO.

That scoop rad/shroud combo is nice, but you hardly need it for a CPU set up. Unless he's going to run a huge TEC on it. N8's suggestion would match his pump better.

Agreed. D-Tek's heatercore w/ shroud is pretty excellent.

Dangerden sells the same but without the shroud, so you can buy all your part in one shop

you could also go w/ the BIX as seen here in a case like yours. more pics of how it's installed are in the link in my sig. I would say the BIX is a very close second if not on par with the D-tek heatercore.

The advantage with a radiator like "The Scoop" is that you can run it with the fans turned off and still get water temps maybe 15C above ambient, or run the fans at a totally silent 5V and be getting water temps that come close to the DTek Pro rad with a fan running at 12V.

Is it overkill? Well that depends on whether you value silence with your cooling performance.
