View Full Version : A64 3000+ Freak boot at 3600Mhz(world record???)+ good budget ocing

Just something very silly that happened to me while playing with my motherboard the other day :) !!

i will have many more picks and benchies as it has proven TO BE FANTASTIC so far running 330X5 and 350X5 (once a suicide shot though)

A64 running at 2.63Ghz at 1.58 real voltage (default heatsink)
Also have a Gigabyte 6600Gt which is happy working at 585 / 1250 Stock heatsink
And to top it all up My ADATA Vitesta DDR500 is doing 550 Cas 2.5-3-3-1 1T

Anyways ill post some scores screenshots soon but here is a quick roundup

Sandra mem >>> 73XX/72XX
Aquamark >>> 68900
3D Mark 2001 >>>> 24110
3D Mark 2005 >>>> 4010

oh forgot to mention : ASUS A8N Sli Deluxe with Tagan 480W

ultra ata 133 hard disk to go with the High HTT :)

origional bios on that board seem to crap out from time to time. it resets the multi regardless of what your fsb is set to. Sometimes i would have problems with booting then go into the bios only to find that it had boned itself and set it at like 3ghz, which on air my cpu will not even attempt to boot at.

i know what you mean , the strangest thing is that this happened after i had reset the CMOS as you can see on the shot everything is set to AUTO otherwise ! i dont know how this happened but i know that i hanged about 2 seconds afterwards

have you tried to reflash the bios? good job btw :toast:

Give us some Windows screenshots and benchmarks. Even 3GHz benchable is impressive.

sure will , i can bench up to 2.7 Ghz , thats why i am saying it is a freak result which i have neven been able to duplicate! thats all
