Does anyone know what the A7 boot code on an abit BD7 is?

I seemd to have royaly trashed my mobo.

Starts to bood but hangs on this code, I cleared the CMOS, and tryed Processor/ram/vid card/hard drive in a different mobo, and it worked fine.

Or do you know the what the A7 boot code is on any other abit mobo's???? Its not in the manual :(

I only get the A7 code when my memory settings are to strong on high speeds. This on the IT7. Try 2-7-2-2 or something like that. It doesn't seem to like 2-5-2-2 at higher speeds.
Try to check the memory settings and eventually, change them.

Thanks for your reply.

I just picked up a refurb'd IT7 from newegg, to replace my board, because im pretty sure its dead.

Whats the max voltage and dimm voltage on this board? Im hoping for atleats 2.8 on the ram.

2.8V is max for the IT7. Is that the Max2 you got or the first version? (blue boxed or red boxed)

I assume its the first one, which is the one that I would rather have.

I have the red boxed one, which was released during the WC Korea/Japan. Has a football on it.
It oc better than the blue boxed versions? Ask JC, he'll tell you the same. With the blue one, he could run his mem up to 226-228 Mhz, that's it.
With the red boxed one, we both cold go up to 238-240, which strong settings, 2-7-2-3, Enhanced ON. This with Corsair PC3500.
Although I heard others say that their blue boxed version oc the same. So maybe just a matter of luck.

It probably is just a matter of luck.. My ram wont go that fast anyhow, I have samsung pc2700 CTL. its good stuff, and I had it running at 200 cas 2 with 2.9 volts, but I wont need to go to 230+ anyhow =). Im not an extreme overclocker, Im just a hoppbyist who lieks free FPS in divx conversions.
