BF1942 had one of he coolest mutliplayer demos out. Then the retail came out and it was kind of dissapointing. Sure the game still fun to play, but there weren't very many maps and the bot ai (I have the slowest interent connection in the work next to not having a connection :)) is very poor. They seem to be too accurate and could navigate an empty square room.

Ok all, got the retail version today, and need to know if anyone has a clan going or anything? I could try to host a server, but I've only got a regular cable connection. My down speed is 2.2 mbps, and my up speed is 267kbps. If that's enough, I'll run one with a password or open. Whatever the majority vote says. I'll be running this on my Dually xp1800@1875. This game rocks! Nice change from the UT's and q3's.;)

and the desert combat mod is the best ever
I just got the game a few weeks ago and now I have to get my gaming rig back in action so I can check it out....
I played the demo of it when it was new... I liked it then

Yeah, I play for a Swedish clan called Swedish Blowbastards, very hard to play against Americans though, kinda high pings :D

I play - bit laggy on dial-up, but ADSL is on the way:D
The new 1.4 patch is a PITA - I'll just wait for broadband before I d/l that.....

Also if you haven't tried it - do a google search for "Eve of Destruction" and DL the 12% version for use with BF v1.4.
Based in Veitnam - more foliage and some really good maps (badmoonrising for example).
