Hey all, I guess this is going to be my first real post since I
[C]onverted to Xtremitism..

Finally got everything set up ok last night

First pic is of my box, which is inside my garage. I cut a hole in the wall to my puter room to run the cd/floppy/on-off and usb cables and set everything else in the garage. It's looking pretty ghetto right now, but hey, who cares, it's in the other room.

This is the fan shot, the one blowing on the 9700 and the ram is a 100cfm squirrel cage, and the one into the core is 175.
WHOOOOOSH.
I've had the ram up to 217, but wasn't at all stable (that was with 4*c air blasting on it. I usually keep it at 200/turbo.

well, i wouldn't want it in the same room with me thats for sure. but it's a different loud than a highspeed delta, it's more of a deep woooshing noise.

Those radial fans make a much more pleasent sound than regular fans imo.

14°C is awesome for 4° ambient temp. Looks like it's working well. :)

did the ram get blown out of the dimms and under the net card? :stick: :rotf:

Tweaked!

Kurupt, I can get those all day long. the ones I get are actually vent motors for 92% furnaces. I've got one rigged up in basement now currently cooling XF1 and another one of my folders. I hung it from the ceiling, split the output into two different 1 1/2" pvc ducts, and piped them into the sides of the rigs blowing directly on the cpu's. I've never bothered to look up exactly how many cfms they are, but they really put out the air.
Btw, they're 120v. If you're interested in one, let me know. I can probably hook you up for relatively cheap, plus shipping (of course;) ):toast:

either you can get one from Tweaked (probably the better deal) or they're all over the place on ebay. look up squirrel cage/centrifigul fans or shaded pole or fireplace blowers
fairly cheap too....
Or if you're REALLY cheap like me, you can go scrounging around in the junkyard looking at old furnaces or anything that looks like it should blow a lot of air and rip it apart.

The one blowing through my rad is from a fireplace blower...

if you go to ebay, look up Dayton fan, they seem to be one of the best out there...
