Hello Everyone,
Just thought I would let all my fellow Canadians know that DFI S939 can be pre-ordered in Canada.
DFI LANPARTY UT NF4 ULTRA-D MOTHERBOARD ATX S939 NFORCE4 ULTRA (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=13825&vpn=LANPARTY-UT-NF4-ULTRA-D&manufacture=DFI) this one is retailing for $190.40 Canadian

DFI LANPARTY NF4 SLI-DR MOTHERBOARD ATX S939 NFORCE4 (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=13826&vpn=LANPARTY-NF4-SLI-DR&manufacture=DFI) $240 Canadian

Pretty reasonably priced compared to what I have seen so far.. as well they say they will begin shipping on the 31'st of Janurary *Crosses Fingers*

I am gonna order the Ultra-D as I do not think I will ever use the SLI. Does anyone know if the overclocking experience will vary greatly between the SLI and the non SLI versions?

I will try to keep this thread updated with all the retail locations for Canada.

Very good news. Thanks a bunch, I was worried about where I was going to track one down.

According to your info and those links it looks like NCIX is already raising the price. 240-$249?

Yes they do ship to the US however don't go stealing all of our boards :)

https://secure.ncix.com/customercare/#international

Anyone know what to expect between the different board versions in terms over overclockability? Should we expect the same general overclocking performance from all the boards?

Awesome! NCIX has an american site where you can order the ultra-d for $155.43 iT WAS $170 After shipping, I guess I could cancel if it comes out in the US first, but this is the sfest way to do it. I was expecting the board to be a lot more. Thanks aver! :toast:

If you are lucky lol, seems like the supply demand is higher down there (of course) and the raping on the wallets begins.

Looks like I better order mine tomorrow... hah

Do you guys think their will be a large difference between the SLI and the non sli versions in terms of overclocking? I have been reading One Page Books thread and I am impressed by the FSB he beens able to obtain.. but will the non sli version be as good?

They must have raised their price on the SLI board... it's now 269.08.. and sometimes NCIX's preorders can take a while.....

Awesome! The DFI LANPARTY UT NF4 ULTRA-D MOTHERBOARD ATX S939 NFORCE4 ULTRA is NON-SLI right? I don't want SLI.

I'm not interested in SLI, but all the good mobos have it and they're really expensive :(

about the Ultra, can this still run SLI if need be? nvidia pressured MSI out of doing the DBS, but what about DFI?

I don't think it's suppose to, but anything's possible in this day and age.

eh, over the course of about the past 2 months i've been gradually getting turned off by SLI. i think i'll just get the ultra regardless. SLI imo is going to be a max 2 generation deal anyways, might as well save the 50-75$ and get the ultra.

the ultra at ncix is 155 USD. thats awesome.

I placed my order from here just in case the us stores didn't get them in time. You can always cancel if places like newegg or gameve get them first. this is what I call playing it safe.

I guess this explains the difference in price between DFI's NF4 Ultra and SLI versions of this mobo. (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=20863) Maybe DFI was trying to save our wallets when they added the 16x slot on the Ultra so we could have SLI on the cheap. No doubt DFI was not amused. I wonder if they'll stick it to DFI and others who try to get around the $50 licensing fee. Almost makes me want to kill my pre-order on the SLI-DR I have with NCIX. Almost ... ;)

Hey guys - I got a order status update from NCIX - it didn't say they'd shipped anything, but this was in the update:

Product Availability Availability Verified
Plus, they charged my CC, verified my address etc. - anyone who has past history w/ NCIX, do you think this means they ship tomorrow?

Hey guys - I got a order status update from NCIX - it didn't say they'd shipped anything, but this was in the update: Yup. Me too.
 Never ordered from them before but I'm hoping I see a tracking number in my e-mail today. :) Now I just need to find a processor that doesn't have a problem with sub zero temps (939 Newcastsle?) and have ATI ship my pre-ordered x800XL (waiting for sanity to take hold of market prices on 6800GTs) ASAP.

Update on NCIX preorders -

Talked to Order Status on the phone. The shipment of SLI-DR's is coming in Friday to NCIX in Canada and will probably ship out Monday. So, no board this week :(

The idea of me looking at the mobo in front of me without at least a x800XL or 6800GT .... better not to contemplate how that would play out.

I'm going with a 3500+ Winchester, but I'm going to pull the trigger on the purchase at the last moment possible in hopes that maybe Venice will appear suddenly. :p:

@gun - do you know when your SLI-DR is coming in? I don't know of anyone who has experience with Winchesters at sub-zero temps on these boards - please PM me as soon as you test it, it would really help. :bounces:

Got my shipping notification and tracking number. Ordered a 6800GT PCI-E. Just need to order the CPU now. Hopefully things will be coming together next weekend. I'll post in the thread regarding sub-zero and the Winnies if I don't chicken out and get a Newcastle. :p:

Wow. Came today. :slobber: Still waiting on a shipping notification for my 6800GT from Monarch and have to order my CPU tomorrow in order to have any chance of working on my new project in time for the weekend. :)

Put my LPUT back on water and keeping my fingers crossed that the Winnie I won't have a problem with my Mach II. Might start with a Thermalright 948u (air) to keep thinks simple at the start.
