damn! and MSRP is $549... that's just insane! that's about $350 more than X800XT PCIe! let's wait and see who's willing to pay that price for extra 40Mhz on the core and 90Mhz for mems :)

this price makes $790 from the Sale/Trade forums look like a great deal now

hehe, and it was supposed to be based on a better manufacturing process. This makes it look like just speedbinned chips.

haha... and people avoid SLI cause they say it's expensive.
barely with how much these X800 and 6800 cards been selling for for the last 6 months.

now if only one company would actually keep up with the demand for this hardware.

I tell you, it's probably a conspiracy.
ATI and Nvidia are delibratly making short supplys of these to see how much people will pay for high end hardware, so they know how much to sell thier next videocard.

I bet next cards come out at $699 MSRP.

Theres definitely something strange going on, over here X850's are the same price (if not cheaper) than the X800's surprisingly, yet in the States there's an awful lot of retailers asking for silly ammounts of money for them. Could it be anything to do with currency exchange rates?
