O/C'ing programs eh? Just use the BIOS, ClockGen type programs are a bit dumb. Just because it works while your OS is running, doesn't mean it will pass the POST.

Yea, I agree with what masterofpuppets said. Just use the bios, your better off. As he said, if you screw up something in windows, u could reboot but might not be able to post.

uh, im not talking programs to overclock in the shell... that will still be done with bios, there are many ocing related programs besides clock changers.

I'd rather think that a linux clockgen would be useful in a wide variety of situations.

For benching, check out http://lbs.sourceforge.net/

nVidia has nvclock and nvidia_settings

For ATI, you'll (sigh) have to do it with BIOS flashing.

Want/need to play around with PS/2 mouse sample rate, settings, etc? http://www.justlinux.com/nhf/Games/Unreal_Tournament.html

(Edit, due to shooting from the hip)glExcess had a Linux version port. I can't find it. Careful googling might turn up a source.

Motherboard monitoring? http://secure.netroedge.com/~lm78/

(all from part of a long-term project of mine, getting the same/similar suite of tools I use in Win2k/XP running in Linux)
