Im seriously considering upgrading to 2gb ram cause no matter what windows says when im playing games(especially World of Warcraft) there are times it hits the hdd alot and when i check usage its around 585mb but i think windows is on crack.

Is anyone running 2gb?

No. Not a lot of people run 2 gigs. I think...

Most people probably use 1 gig.

I'm running with 2gb of ram.
After I tested my system with 2gb, I couldn't go back to 1gb.
Infact, I'm thinking of 3 or 4gb now.

Depends on what you do. 2gb of ram isn't going to help on the overclocking and benchmarking, but you might notice less disk swapping if you multitask like crazy.

A while back freecableguy posted some results of 2GB of BH5 running at DDR500...pretty impressive.

Im running 2GB DDR2 now, it helps with WOW over 1GB.

is that 4x512 or 2x1GB? I thought that 4x512 require 2t cmdr and 1gb sticks dont oc' well?

I have 4x512 Centon DDR2 266FSB 355Mhz 3-3-3-5
I believe the Fatal1ty is misreading or has incorrect ratio's. bandwidth is horrid. I have contacted Abit twice but they are yet to respond.

I am told the 2x1MB are better for OC.

There will be no real problems if you have an intel system with 2gb.
The loss in overclock with 4 sticks is minor. I just lost 6 fsb's with a little less tight timings. You won't even notice the loss in speed unless you benchmark. Infact you will feel your computer a lot faster.
However, with an amd system, if you run with 4 sticks you will lose a lot because you will run inevitably with 2t. And if you run with 2 sticks of 1gb, I think the most you will get is 240 or 250 fsb's if you were lucky.
So, if I were you, I would ask someone with 4*512 modules to test the highest stable overclock for them and compare it with 240fsb 1t at 3-4-4-8.
That will give you the answer.
I would have tested them for you if I did have an amd system.

The loss in overclock with 4 sticks is quite drastic for me, but 2gb is still better for what I do. With 4 sticks, I'm able to run around 205mhz fsb (260 with 5:4 memory divider) at 3-4-4-8 timings for absolute stability. Furthermore, since I'm overclocked, I don't get PAT either with 4 sticks. PAT is enabled if I leave my fsb at stock speeds, but then, I need the cpu power more than the miniscule performance bump that PAT provides.

With 2 sticks, I'm able to do 263mhz (cpu limited) at 2.5-3-3-5 timings and PAT is enabled even when I up the fsb. With 4 sticks, your losing quite a bit of overclocking and bandwidth, but if you need 2gb, then you need 2gb of ram. This is on the PDP xblk stuff.
