I have an oportunity to sell my 1gb Corsair pc4000 and purchase 512mh of PQI turbo 2-2-2-5.

I play some MOHAA and HL2 but really get my kicks from overclocking my cpu.

I've been able to get my winchester to 9x300 with the stock cooler but have to clock my corsair at 150mhz to run so-so stable. The Corsair doesn't even run the rated speed with the processor underclocked.

So... I can sell the corsair and get some TCCD PQI and a Zalman cu7000 for the sale of the corsair.

... what do you guys think?

I have the same issue with my CH-6 XMS, did 2-3-2-6 DDR440 in an AXP getup, with A64 it's 3-4-4-8 T2 DDr333 shaky

I'd say, hesitantly, get a single 512mb DIMM of the PQI TCCD and plan on buying another soon. Having just jumped from 3-4-4-8 512mb (2x256) to 2.5-3-3-7 1gb (2x512) there wasn't much different in the 512mb

... the PQI memory uses TCCD and has a default voltage of 2.5v @ 2-2-2-5 pc3200.

Since my motherboard maxes out at Vdimm 2.80v I'll have a bit of o/c'n headroom... just a thought.

The chances are it's your processor keeping you back, it was the same with my winny and Corsair PC4400 i too had to use 2:1 i can tell you this IT'S your processor, my Newcastle can run at 300Mhz 1:1 so i KNOW it's NOT my memory at fault.

For gaming 1GB is recommended but for overclocking TCCD chips are nice. I'd buy Gskill TCCD as they are very good for overclocking.:D
