I'd say

Gskill Pc4800 La
http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=49234

or
OCZ VX
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47990

or maybe some newer TCCD, like OCZ EL rev2

TCCD is alot less hassle, plus it seems more consistnet, however the best performance would probably be in VX or anything else with winbond...even if it takes more luck/work.

My booster wouldn't work stable on my board :(

ive noticed the ocz vx is only pc3200, im running pc3500 now. is it better to run something like pc4400? also is there any milage in running 1g over 512mb.

OCZ uses TCCD chips with a Brainpower PCB, which will probably be better than your PC3500...

ive been posting on other sites and some are saying use corsair as you dont need to use loony voltages to run at high fsb's.

It depends of your HTT range;

If you want 1:1 from 201 to 240 (maybe 260) and have a Booster, Gold VX is your best choice, you get 2-2-2-X timings

But, if you want 1:1 or 5:4, or 3:2(yagh) from 200 to 300 (maybe 320) and you don't have a Booster, G-Skill F1 LA is for you, get 2.5-3-3-7 or 3-4-4-8

OCZ VX Gold have an issue with 5:4 divider at 270HTT+ on this particular board. That is no prob with a high multiplier CPU like 4000+ or FX, OCZ VX Gold

as here we say: VX for FX LoL! :D

i have a 3500+ newcastle which maybe replaced by a winchester sometime. at the mo im running 254 x10.5 but the ram is on 211. so would like to run 1:1.

250 seems a pretty solid bet with the right voltage.

cypher007, what week is your newcastle 3500+, as I just got one the other day. I am currently waiting for my OCZ 3200 EL Rev. 2 and 64/FX kit for my prommie. I'll give you a heads up on what my memory runs. :)

not sure on the week. will check at some point. im still undecided on what mem to buy. im now leaning toward the gskill pc4400 stuff. heres a link to the only place i can find it in the uk:

http://www.pc-memory-upgrade.co.uk/memory/ddr-ram-pc3200.asp

which one should i get?
someone on overclockers.co.uk forum says the vx stresses the mem controller to much? and i dont like the idea of having to run it at 3.2+v all the time.
would the gskill still run something like 2,1,3,8,3, cause i really need cas2 and 1t.

cas2 might go to 225mhz or so on tccd, maybe more...

i just read a whole sh*t load of stuff on latencys and 2.5 seems to make little difference, so would rather run high fsb at 2.5,1t cmd. its starting to look like the gskill stuff. stop the press just seen this corsair stuff over at anadtech's:

http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2312&p=12

what do you guys recon?

The Corsair looks interesting! However I don't think you will go wrong with G.Skill's LE or LA's.
