xs64: A-DATA PC4000 (Vitesta)???

I have A-DATA PC4000 (Vitesta), and running 2.85 V with 2x 512 on 754 is not giving me much more then 250 MHz 1T 2.5-3-3-7. hmm...

Ref drop to 2T and watch it fly :D

But 2T sucks :stick:

I have same prob i have a 3400 newcastle and 2x512mb after 239x11/10/9 i must drop to 2T

Maybe you cpu is like mine dont liike 512mb stix @ 1T over a certain fsb/htt whatever its called

yes i owned p4 now i have athlon64 well i have both :toast:

:D It's pc4800 Viesta , sry for my bad :p: but i heard adata pc4000 can do better than pc4800

I'll try that, thx
My PC4000 starts giving errors in memtest above 260 MHz 1T 2.5-3-3-7 hmm but WITHOUT fan blowing on it, and it gets HOT, but i can let my finger on it.

I'll try one stick too :D

The PC4000 is hynix isn't it?

It is usually Hynix, mine hopefully is.

BTW: 2T gives me less than 5 MHz more than 1T. :stick:

my a data is also vitesta
i tried to OC only with one stick and it's great !!! but with 2 stick it is hell they just do clock!!!

i can run 250FSB 2.8 2.5-3-3-6

and i do not know what kind of chips the sticks contain but it is for sure from hynix ....

i think u will try to cool them down , maybe it will help
i still wounder why the memtest is still stucking above 250 in a very non-agressive timings

can it be becase i am locking the AGP/PCI freq. ? or the VDDQ ?

My do 250 MHz 2.5-3-3-7 easily at 2.85 V. ;)

I think the chips are Hynix D5. I'm not sure but I heard that they like voltage, what should I expect at higher voltage ? :stick:

BTW: trying one stick didn't help much with 2.5-3-3-7 (still crap out at 26x) and I am NOT interested in 3-4-4-8 because i can't do more than about 275 STABLE.

P.S.: you have Intel, and memory usually works best with A64 ...

the interesting thing is that with one stick i can go higher than 250 and memtest will not stuck and when i go above 250 with 2 sticks memtest stuck .....

when i say stuck i mean like it is stop to run and the sceern frezzes

Both sticks running seperatly do at least 250 MHz in memtest? try BOTH
and again, this might be a limitation of your board or intel ...

i dont think that the problam is in my mobo cause i did 302FSB in 4:5 mode with my older mem .....
in 530DDR 2.5-3-3-7 2.8V on one sick the memtst is clean&clear

when i try both of them i can go over the 500DDR ( they do a 500 2.5-3-3-6 @ 2.85 ....)

edit :
i chacked the chips "under the hood" and i found the d5 chips by hynix should i get a booster ???

Both do separatly 265 2.5-3-3-7 ? but not together ? maybe mobo can't handle such high frequency. or they are not getting enough current.
And you usually can't have the best frequency using 2 sticks ...

I'm wondering too. Is anybody here with Hynix D5 chips using a booster ? How big is gain ? What about 2-2-2-5 @ 200 MHz, is it possible ? :stick:
