look at this, this is after letting windows cool down, i can watch the task manager as it goes from 0% idle, to 30-40 % load, and it doesn't go away even after hours of sitting idle. ive used black vipers guide, and everything. it goes away if i reformat, but i just comes back a day or two later. do you guys have ANY idea what it could be? BTW, it says the system is 99% idle, which is most obviously wrong.

Looks like wuauclt (Windows Update Automatic Client) is using 11%. Get rid of it, it's in the Services panel.

that goes away soon after it loads, gone now btw, still at 30-40% while idle, takes a good 1500-2000 marks off of 3dmark, and makes games slower than shiz. :(

well i figured out what it was, i started uninstalling devices one by one, turns out it was my soundcard. SO, now i gotta find drivers that work, cuz this thing is the ultimate MP3 playback soundcard.
