Hey folks,

Well, i'm in the market for another new memory sticks - this time to put it in my Neo2 for 24/7 usage ONLY.... I need it to be "prime-3D-game-stable" @ DDR590-600ish with 8-3-3-2.5 1T timmings.

Does Gskill PC4400 LE cut the mustard for this task ??? I see some people with those clocks but I cannot recall anyone showing full-stability at this speed?

What do you guys think? Do you have any ideas, please?

That should work, but I dont think those timings are worth it. Try like DDR 500 at lower timings. You could also try BH-5 with alot of volts, but that might not be what you are looking for.

hm. Anything to testify this statement?

DDR500 2-2-2-5 (BH-5) vs DDR600 2.5-3-3-8 1T (G.Skill TCCD)

TCCD will give better performance on A64 S939 then BH5 unless BH5 is taken over 265-270MHz...

This is because A64 S939 already as VERY low latencies and high bandwidth, so it is better to have balanced timings/speeds.

You mean bandwidth?:D

If so, I would say even DDR550 2-2-2-5 bh-5 can't beat TCCD DDR580 2.5-3-3-6 :)

I thin he means General Performance since that is what is important... You can have the highest bandwidth, but if it takes an eternity to process, the Bandwidth wont change anything...

I just switched out my BH5 @ 250fsb used with a 166 divider for TCCD at 300fsb and without question I am MUCH happier with general performance, superpi times, bandwidth, arith, everest latency, read and write etc.. Also, the mem controller on my chip absolutely likes it better. I was having a :banana::banana::banana:ens of a time getting under 35sec superpi stable, and now with TCCD I'm rock solid at 33 seconds. I hit 32sec with 9x290, but when priming she reboots due to chip overheating. Need better cooling....

lol "d1ckens" got the bananas!

from my testing, i need about 25-30Mhz more with 8-3-3-2.5 1T to beat 6-2-2-2.0 1T.... this is all fine 'n dandy as soon as i could get TCCD to run @ DDR580 "full stable" with no dividers. once i would hit 166 divider mem would go down to DDR480-500 bearing upgrade to TCCD useless for my setup as i can beat that with my 1GB VX ;)

so is there anyone that has any "prime" screenies with GSkill @ DDR580-600 on Neo2 ???
