i need help on hyperX memory timings (KHX3200A/512 512MB 400MHz DDR Non-ECC CL2 ) the timings i set on my board are 1:1 CAS 3.0 RAS 3 RaS 3 Cycle 8 On Freqyency 228.5MHz can some1 help me to set the best timing? :p:

maybe you should set vdimm higher 2,8v or more should do well

Start at CAS 2 for starters.

Try 2-3-3-7, then move to 2-2-2-7 and so forth. As far as I recall, those are BH5 ram sticks, and can take tight timings.

no they are CH-5.

do 2-3-2-6

wats the diff between BH-5 and CH-5 ?

You are absolutely right. Forgot about that little "A" in the model indicating that.

Go for what enZor recommends and if still unstable move to 2-3-3-7.

Difference between BH5 and CH5 is the timings and voltages. BH5 can do tighter timings at higher FSB than the CH5... not to mention that BH5 has a high tolerance to voltages above 3.4v etc.

Some people have said that various batches of CH5 could handle the higher Vdimm and be stable, and also do same timings as BH5...but I havent seen it first hand. Which doesnt mean it isnt true mind you. Better to start with stock timings (2-3-2-6, and 2-3-3-7).

right now im on 3-3-3-8 timing runs very stable. voltage 2.8v is there a better timing for this?

You should be able to run 2-3-3-7 atleast bud. Your performance is gonna suffer alot when running CAS3.

2-3-3-7 is faster den 3-3-3-8 ? how do u tell? hmmm we have a problem here bud. i cant run 2-3-3-7 on 1:1 , it wont let me boot up. rite now im on 5:4 2-3-3-7 can ya help me out? hmmm looks like it run slower den b4? isnt it? heres some info i found on the site for my memory.

Give it some more volts, I've heard of more than a handful of people getting 240fsb 2-2-2 with ch-5 at around 3.2-3.3v.

hmmm max voltages i can set on my board is 2.8v. also run it on 1:1 2-2-2 or 5:4 2-2-2 ? hmmm wats the voltage for a p4 prescott 3.4ghz?

Lower number mean higher speeds, the numbers are the time by which you specify the time in which the memory has to finish one circle. Time is in ms ( mili seconds).
CH5 at 486Mhz? on cas 2 NO way! I had CH5 and got rid of them max whith cas 2 was 465 everything higher than that had to be cas 2,5 and I had to use 3,3V

Well the divider on the intel isn't tthat much important than on AMD, try how far you can come with 2,5, cause intel loves bandwith and MegaHertz. The timings are less important then on AMD rigs which needs tight timings to run as fast as possible.
