Hello,

Does somebody have an A8N-SLI Deluxe in combination with G.Skill 2x512MB PC4400 or PC4800 ??
What are your highest stable memory clock speeds ? and on wich timings
Because a friend had this combination with PC4400LE and he can't reach High clock speeds on 1T

270 Mhz Ram (DDR540) 2T (2.5-3-3-5) = 6500 mb/s in sisoft
230 Mhz Ram (DDR460) 1T (2.5-3-3-5) = 6700 mb/s in sisoft

I ask this because I want to buy some G.Skill but I want to know if it's wort it to spend 300 Euro's. I have now some Corsair PC3200LLPT 2x256MB BH-5 memory and max speeds are 230 MHZ @ 1T (2-2-2-7)

Greetz,

apparantly the asus board isnt that stable at 1t over 230 - 240, i've heard a few people state this so i dont think you'd get 1t even with better ram, try testing the ram on another board and if it goes higher than you can get it at 1t then you know its the board and not the ram

Im the friend he is talking about ;)

Its definately the board !
The same cpu and ram can run 292 (1T 2.5-3-3-5) on a EPoX 9nda3+ .....

When the MSI will come available i will get one asap ;)
Why ?!?! Well because i have seen OPB work his magical G-Skill ram to some kick ass tropical speeds without any of these problems ;) :toast:

TCCD bites dust hard from my experience on A8N SLi. I was able to get about 240 2.5-3-3-7 stable 1T on EL Plat Rev.2 On the other hand VX was about 245 2-2-2-5 stable or BH-5 was running @ (SS memory) up to 255 2-2-2-5 stable. Probably bios compatibility issues are plaguing good memory overclocking.
As for VX, divider still seem to exists.

Same here!

240 1T is the best I can do so far with GSkill PC4400. Even 241 will give Memtest 86+ V1.2 about 400 errors on test #6. It ran 240 error free 5 pass though.

Thats with 2.6v VDimm at 2.5-3-3-10 and Bios 1002.

Haven't try beta bios 1003.5 though. Hopefully they can fix this with an bios update.

BTW, 2T ran all the way up to 300 error free but performance sucks big on 2T with this board.

Seems like I'm one of the few that has good luck with the TCCDs on the A8N. This is with mid-range Geskill with 1T:

The Twinmos (BH4?) rams I just got isn't giving me as good bandwidth, I need to get them burned in I suppose.

The way it looks, it will take near 270 cas 2,2,2,5 for the BHs to match the 282 cas 2.5,4,3,5 bandwidth of the TCCD.

The board doesn't like my champion BH5 sticks though... wouldn't even boot up with them.

Maybe a bit more chipset voltage might help you?
