Anybody know how to up the memory voltages on this mobo?
2.7 is as high as you can choose in the BIOS measured with a DVOM it's only 2.66 actual.

I need more juice;)

Thanks

This is what I got from an email to Gigabyte tech:

Q: Why does the Vdimm on this board only go up to 2.7V instead of 2.8V as written in the manual ?

A: The manual is using F1g BIOS and the latest one already change the value of the setting.

I've asked them to email me the F1g BIOS. See how it goes :) I'll try posting in a few forums to get that BIOS.

Maybe the bios can be hacked by LD or someone else to get higher Vdimm.

Well I didnt ask Luck to do it, but I did ask him for some tips, on BIOS moding. I used modbin6, and found a few things disabled,
dont have a clue as to what they were, so I just enabled them all as I found them. None turned out to be any thing vdimm related.

I can't get that bios open with modbin. wich version of modbin where you using? and which version of the bios have you opened?

I can't open that using Modbin6 either. The latest official version just stucks in some sort of infinite loop when opening the BIOS file and the latest beta version just won't load the file.

Still searching for F1g..........

I changed the extension from .f3 to .bin and it worked fine.
But I booted from a DR DOS boot disk, and ran modbin6 beta from DOS. not winXP

You can do it using CMD.exe within XP or W2K windows.

OK I'll try that again.

Btw this is how you do the Vdimm mod on that:

Same as the BD7-II if they both use Winbond W83301R.

Got a F1 BIOS. Doesn't do jack. Still stuck at 2.7 Vdimm. I'm dumping this POS.

The POS is back at the shop, and the refund is enough for me to get a 4PEA with real 3.34Vdimm max :D
