bh5 about 4,1v but everythink over 4v was unstable. http://gorajec.net/raven/szalejemy.jpg <= higest stable frequency on 3,95v, maybe it would go higher with some sub-zero temps on nb ;)

that is a bad result for 4V Raven!

I got 270 @ 3.7 so 280 should'nt be a problem with a fan over them and throwing to them 3.8

4V on Corsair TwinX512-3200LLPT v1.1 (BH-5). Abit AI7 could only let me run 250 MHz 2-2-2-5 (memtest stable)... the same results as with 3.4V. :(

Any higher voltages resulted in PSU OVP (Antec SmartPower 350W).

5.5v through my old crucial 2100 sticks on an 8k3a+

Board blew up afer a few benches.

I soldered the 5v line straight to the Vdimm.

The sticks were allready bad so I didnt get any particually good benches, i think 180fsb was the best I did

First post so Hi all.

I have a question about putting voltages of 3.8 and above through you're ram. Are these high voltage settings that most of you are running for 24/7 useage, or just settings for benching and the such?

As I have to sticks of OCZ VX ram at 3.4v with a OCZ booster at 255 and 2 2 2 5 timings at the moment. And was hoping to push my ram to 260 with higher volts.

I have the ram and the booster well cooled and was going to try and push the volts up. But don't want to damage my cpu (FX55) or ram in doing so.

Cheers...

Man this sounds like a good anecdote. At least it made me laugh :D

On the topic: only pathetic 3.3v on BH-5. But that's only because I'm still learning to solder reliably.

4,56V by accident (measured by voltmeter), the Booster is dangerous. Used 2x 256MB Corsair XMS3500 BH-5, doesn't overclock more past 3,90-3,95V.

The OCZ booster? It will not go over 3.9V unless you mod it then you can hit 5V :)

No need to mod it, the voltage of the booster varies with the 12V line (this by using an OCZ PSU). Tried again with 4,32V, display on booster only showing 3,9V. One problem is that the booster uses the 5V line as reference, if the 5V line isn't 5V the display on the Booster shows wrong voltage.

This is dangerous for people not knowing that, the 5V line must be exactly 5V and the 12V line must be 12V for the booster working the right way. With higher voltage on the 5V line than 5V the Booster shows lower voltage than it gives and lower than 5 it shows higher voltage.

Tested again with 12V line at ~13,9V, 5V line at ~4,6V, display showing 4,8V, actual voltage is 4,32V. With 5V line at ~5,8V, the booster only showed 3,8V, boster still giving 4,32V.
