hi guys speed fan has the following 3 for me by default

temp01
HD01
temp02


im guesing hd01 is the hadrive but which of the other 2 is cpu and motherboard, thanks.

yes HDxx is your Hard drive temps, To figure out which sensor is the processor Run SuperPI, or some other software to load your processor and see which sensor reflects the increase.

hi ive downloaded super pi and pressed "calculate" but its just a bunch of numbers to me, what am i looking for in particular.

start SuperPI to calculate PI, minimum of 1m, this will give you a minute or so to watch the temperature display. Once SPI is running (calculating PI) you should see a significant increase in one of the temperatures displayed, once SPI is done that temperature should decrease. This would be your Idle, and loaded temperatures. You could then rename the temp sensor to CPU, or another name of your choice.
