It seems to me winchesters are a little faster clock per clock vs newcastle after all.

First of all let me say this is very very impressive but I cant helping thinking there´s something wrong. 27sec just seems to fast for that speed..
Either way impressive stuff.

It's an full tweaked Win2k3 Server. I've got the 28 Sec. with 2896MHz and it
was 28.885 Sec.! This Os gives really an nice boost! There is noo SEE2 Patch or
something! I swear it by my life!

Edit:That really sucks! :( Why does this Freak make this Patch ... Now u are always
confrontated with the "Cheater-thing"!

kind of hard to tell if it's patched... might be not.... i pulled of 30s @ 272x10 6-2-2-2.0 1T on tweaked Windows Server 2003... he has 250Mhz overhead so i would think that 28s should be easly achievable @ his clocks.

Win2k3 and Win2k are the two O.S. more reliable for benchmarking, right? :D

guys you could just post a patched spi too to show the difference!

it's simple!

funkflix

Ok, i can understand u, but i've tried today all the Tweaks from this thread(*) and i was really suprised, that it gave me such an imrovement!
It's really hard to believe what u can do with an tweaked Os! :)

Edit: Ok, i will try an run again with the patch, but i'm now inside and maybe
i can't get the 2975, but 2950 should work. And with the Patch i should get
27 easy with 2950MHz.

yeah, Windows Server 2003 gives SuperPi quite a boost. i have it installed on my Neo2 and NF2 Infinity and get great times with it...
you'll see much of a difference when you compare 16M or 32M with Server 2003 and WinXP...

12-21-2004, 02:33 PM
Well, this score is very good. Tweaked as hell.

CAS1.5, maxmem=104mb, Win server2003 and less running applications.
That will give you 27sec :D

congratz,

Bennah
12-21-2004, 02:34 PM
Its a great time, top work... not trying to call you a cheat or nothing but 27sec seems a little fast for a 3ghz winnie, but i trust that its down to os tweaks bringing the score down.

To fully put my mind at rest would you run it with the patched version?

Now with SSE2-Patch... Can't run with 2975MHz again, but i hope u will see
the difference! Unpatched 2975MHz = 27.840 Sec. and Patched 2925MHz = 27.509 Sec.! ;)

6C system temp??? Did you mistype or were you benching outside :p: 2 days ago it was -22C here, I was tempted to bring mine outside but it was just too cold.

funkflix
12-21-2004, 02:59 PM
Yeah, it was outside! ;) Thats why i can't bench the 2975MHz again! It's
about - 1°C here outside, but i'm waiting for lower temps, to bench again! :D

@cuddles

The first bench was with 270,5 MHz and Cas Latency of 1,5 ;)

Very very nice congratulations :toast:
regarding the cas1.5 I'm not convinced that is actually tighter than 2. does cas2 give higher score on Pi?
you can achieve 27 in lower frequency if u close Process timer (it seems to slow down a bit (about 100ms) the sys

sai
12-22-2004, 05:12 AM
The minimum is CAS2 as you can see in the a64 tweaker 1.5 is reserved value and doesn't work.

enduracell
12-22-2004, 05:38 AM
i think that the value of cas1.5 is deferent from 2 but is set it up even if it's reserved (150, 183 etc dividers are reserved too but work perfect ;) )
