anyone seen an xbox keyboard and mouse so fed up with these pads cant play golden eye on this thing?

Yea I also wanna know, playing HALO2 with a buddy yesterday and he was whooping me, I am so not used to a gamepad.

no mouse that i've seen, but a keyboard mod exists, well rather rewire a pc usb keyboard for the xbox, but then you need the driver also, probably not practical for gaming...
check some of the usual place for kboard info...

If you mod your box i belive it's doable. Using USB KB/Mouse i mean.
i know a guy who opened up his xbox and found the traces for usb ports, so you could solder them in, he said it picked it up, but i don't know how he mapped the controls.

Xbox controller port uses standard USB signals, you just have to rewire and change the connector, its not difficult..
oh, well he didn't do that, i think he soldered it on where the extra traces were. if all he did was change out the port, then he sure made it sound like he did a lot more than what he actually did.
i don't even play my xbox, i've been playing strictly pc games for the past year, so i've never even been tempted to open it up and have a look.

I wouldn´t use a tastatur for my xbox .. 1. a tastatur 4 xbox is 2 expensiv , 2. I think, when you´re playing xbox and you sit on your sofa with a tastatur, it´s very unpractical :)

It's possible and I beleive it has already been done. All you really need to do is build a box that sits between your Xbox and your keyboard/mouse and pretends to be the controller to the Xbox. You could hack you own easily (at least everything but the analog sticks and triggers) using an Xbox controller PCB and a PS/2 keyboard. The analog sticks and triggers could be implemented with more complex programming of the chip box that you would put between the keyboard and the Xbox.
