i want to bring my water cooling to another level. I'm am considering on whether going for chilled water cooling or TEC. What would you all recommend?

A 172 watt peltier enough? Chilled water may around 0 - 10c.

Pls comment. Thank you.

My chiller (http://westech.home.mindspring.com/chiller/mychiller.htm) might give you some ideas.

nice but what are your temps?

It maintains water at 19c, with water blocks on both CPU (2200+@2040mghz) and GPU(G4 TI4600) it loses .8c while keeping the CPU at 33c running 24/7. The temps have gone as high as 37c while playing video games.

If I want to tweak I turn off the PC overnight, by morning the water temps are -4c; with a gallon of chilled water I am good for about 3 hours.

It is a GE I bought at a pawn shop for 25 bucks, I have my eye open for something a little cooler. This was my first cooler and I didn't want to spend too much.

oh ok, that's cool. why don't you rip the thing apart and put the evap in to the res for better temp. Easily -10 or more. I think.

That is something I could do, I am a green bean on this stuff. Do you really think that evap would maintain that low a temp, a little encouragement and it will be a done deal.

I need a little convincing that a small evap would produce those temps, how large of a res would be best?

I started looking at what you guys are doing a few months ago, now I am water cooled, got mediocre chiller, and am ready to step up to the next level. Somebody confirm this small evap will work better in a res and I will build one for it.

i can't really confirm, coz i'm also a noob with this. Sorry. I'm also learning.
