Okay my first shot at a XP 2700+:
http://www.liquidninjas.com/mdzcpa/ForumPics/XP2700/2705.JPG

Bear with me here...this has only been after 30 minutes of playing around:) I think these chips are much better than the XP 2400s when they first came out.

Here's more details:

Forget the 2600+, the 2700+ looks amazing :D After 30 minutes too. Again voltages cooling etc.

Well done so far :)

Woohoo I'm jealous!

Don't give up on the 2600's mine's at 2400 with only 1.8v cooled by a K:p :p lance...

We'll see what it can do when I get my prommie or others start getting theirs.

Hey guys...sorry about the missing info.

The above screenie was at 2.05v core, cooled with H20 via a swiftech MCW462-UT with 226w pelt on a KD7. Idle was about 15c and load was 22c.

You won't need that kind of cooling though...I had this puppy at 2480mhz on air, @ 1.825v with a simple SK6 and 6000rpm delta.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I swapped back to the KD7 for this new CPU, and put the KX7 back into my other rig...which promptly hosed the OS. So I had to do a full install just to get back on line :(

I'll post more updates as soon as I've sorted things out. Right now she is running prime across the room from me at 2715mhz:D

This is the same stepping and markings that I got from Newegg. I haven't tested it's limit yet, but this is very encouraging!

Mdz ,

What psu are you using for the 226 plt? Also what are you using to measur your trmps , die sensor?

I know I'm not mdzcpa, but as he's using a KD7, his temps will be read from the on-die sensor.

Also, can we have some benchies, I'd like to see how well it scores. Over 2.7ghz and that stable, very impressive :)

Sorry about the delay in updates guys....I went to the Detroit AMD Reality Check (http://www.liquidninjas.com/bbs/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1969) last night with some other buddies from Liquid Ninjas.

Bushboy is right...I was using an MCW462-UT in my Quiet Power and the temps are reported from the internal diode.

I promise to post some benches and push for more tonight:)
