Dual channal ((2x256)·512) on IC7?

is it posible to insert 2 256 moduls and one 512 modul, and still use dual channal?

i mean:

256mb in dimm1
256mb in dimm3
and then 512 in dimm2 or dimm4

is it posible?

there is the same amount of ram in the two channals!

Good question, but I'd have to say no because the size of the chips will be different. Even if the 512mb one is dual sided and has the same size chips, the stick would be different. I dont think northbridges are intelligent enough to figure out how to do what you want. Of course correct me if I'm wrong.

Foxie3a, your absolutely right, your probabaly better off just using the two 256 sticks in dual channel and maybe later on buying a match for your 512 stick and then using those for dual channel.
