I hate this thing so much that I wanna scream everytime it pops up on the screen, cause it causes nothing but trouble for me.

at the moment I am on my friends PC trying to install the drivers for the motherboard so the videocard isn't running in PCI mode, then the goddamn freakin hardware wizard pops up and installs the videocard before I can do anything, and just puts me back at square one.

this windows feature has always been a huge pain in the ass, and I wanna finally for once and for all get this damn thing off any PC I am working on cause its never been helpful and always gets in my way.

so how can I remove it?
disable it, or basically rip it outta windows and stomp it to death?

hmm I guess you could disable the service Shell Hardware Detection

guide:

Press the windowstab on the keyboard + R to get into "run mode". Type in: services.msc and locate Shell Hardware Detection. Give it a couple of clicks and choose "disable service".

Disclaimer: I am not 100% this will fix your problem so please take care
