Can it? Obviously a 32 bit system wouldn't be able run 64 bit code, but could you at least install Windows XP 64-bit on a 32-bit system and have it run? Maybe there's some sort of 32 bit backwards-compatibility feature built in?

I don't think it can. They have a 32-bit emulator on there for all the 32-bit code, but afaik it won't work without a 64-bit processor. Why would you want to run it on a 32-bit system anyway? Doesn't the defeat the purpose of having it?

It wasn't for a personal endeavor; some colleagues of mine were disputing it...I don't know why either  Nonetheless, I thought I'd ask the tech experts here :) I didn't think it would either, but one of them claims to have been able to install and successfully run the oS on a p3 system. :\

I don't see why you would beable to run it. Makes no sense to me. Can't run ps2.0 on a dx8 card. Can't run sse2 on an Athlon XP, can't run sse3 on an A64 (yet :)) lol, so.. yunno, I'd guess that you can't.
