Hi

I use an Antec TP 550W and NF7-S v2.0

my -12v rail is @ -14v~ when idle...

what does it mean ?
should I RMA it ?

BTW: I use a palomino 1333mhz @ 2ghz @ 2.2v, phase change cooled (looking for a good mobile...mine died :\

if that's the software monitor's reading, you can disregard it completely. if it's the multimeter reading, you might be in some trouble. my -12v line is actaully at -13 most of the time (multimeter verified) and it doesnt make any difference

Of course Aphex_Tom_9 you are right! :toast:
The Byter do not worry about voltages such as -12V or -5V....
For AMDs the most critical voltage is +12V.
Don't trust any mainboard monitor LOL I have 3 A64 mobos LOL each one shows anything!
That's why I always use a multimeter.

ok, lets say the real reading with a DMM is -15v... what does it mean ?

PSU overload ?
should I RMA ?

thanks

if all the other rails are fine, nothing is overheating or becoming unstable, it should be fine, i hear new motherboards dont even use the -12v line.
