I'm not sure about high fsb overclocks. But with about 3.3-3.5v you can get most between 340-370fsb at 2-2-2 timings

Edit: I meant 240-270, sorry I didn't catch it sooner :stick:

didnt know they were still selling that, i have a gig of KHX3000 BH-5 and its great, runs 240 222 on an NF2 board with 2x512 in dual channel, which is pretty good at 3.2 volts with an NF2, especially with 2x512

thing about KHX3000 is that it used both bh-5/bh-6, so you dont get bh-5 guranteed, anyways, im going to buy 2x256 and see if i can break 260 in this NF2 :)

edit - just placed my order :)

time to bust out the soldering iron on this infinity :)

I placed my order right after I read your message. Ordered 2x 256 mb but are you sure its 340-370 fsb?? If you meant 240-270 fsb with timing 2-2-2, whats the absolute max with that memory?

I have a neo2 platinum......if I buy a OCZ DDR Booster Diagnostic Device will I be able to choose higher volts? (right now max is 2.85v in bios, I think)

uhhh.....not that high.

3.3 - 3.6v = 230 - 260 or so @ 2-2-2-5 (usually on average)

yeah i get 240 2225 with my khx3000 at 3.2(CPC off, so it performs like 215cpc on :(), im hoping for more out of this, not only that, i need an fsb rig... maybe instead of getting my 1.8a a new mobo ill just throw together an A64 rig...

If its just for gaming and everyday usage its a big waste of money...

Latency gives next to 0 performance in games...

Unless you are playing with a 6800U or X800XT in 800x600 with no detail or sumthin...

Edit: otherwise i would go for it... I had 2x256 of these and they did 239Mhz 2-2-2-5@2.8v...

But sadly i needed to have 1GB... So i just sold em and got 2x512 modules of PC4000 since i saw a couple reviews where every single 1 stated that timings dont add performance in games...

Well the final price for 2x 256 mb sticks came to about $175 :P (with the 10% discount) but it doesn't matter since I live in sweden, it is cheap :) (about $115 in american dollars if it was 5 years ago)

I did a RMA 3 weeks ago with my Level II BH-5. They said they couldn't replace it, all they had was TCCD. They sent me the TCCD, it sucks on my MSI neo2 setup.

I'm gunna have to check back with them and see what's up with this BH-5 deal.

Could it be possible that OCZ VX uses the same chips?

IMHO only the Bh5-Chips can be given up to 3.6V

But I am waiting for the first reviews. I got my Geil UltraX just 3 weeks ago.

no hardware freak, for 2 reasons

1 - the ocz sticks need 3.2 volts just for 2225 at DDR400, somethine BH-5 does with 2.5volts

2 - ocz said that the new IC's were not of limited availability, BH-5 is all but extinct

opp, that sounds pretty likely, or maybe they took all of the good IC's off of the RMA'd sticks, because odds are one bad IC can make a whole stick bad, so no sense in throwing away the whole stick right?

Mine wouldn't do anything even remotely high with the BH-5. Same RAM was awesome on NF2. Booster didn't help at all. Did you Vdimm mod the board?

Isn't that still considered "single bank", and therefore more desirable for OCing. My understanding is as long as it is just 8 ICs than that is considered "single bank". Whether or not the DRAM chips are on both sides or on one side isn't important. At least that is my take on it. I certainly could be wrong. Perhaps someone with definitive knowledge on it will pipe in here.

anyways, for some early results right now im running 250x10 on my NFII

i started with 240 3.3v, and its already had an error free pass at 250 in memtest...

time to go to 260 ^_^

im so happy right now, on my 512 sticks of bh-5 i could only hit 240in DC with CPC off, CPC is still on and im at 250 :)

edit - i was going to vmod this board, but if im already getting 250 im wondering how much extra vdimm is going to help my FSB, i guess maybe alot as my NB is still at stcok volts, and from my experiance NB voltage helps alot on this board (like 10-15 mhz with my 512sticks)

*edit - what the proper burn in for BH-5 again? its been so long... should i just leave it running 200x13 at 3.3 222 for a few days?
