Hi well i finaly got the DDR Booster and started playing with it, but my vDimm fluctuates over 0.1v even up to 0.2v downward,

im using AN7 and the psu is enermax 430w with rails at

12v - 12.37
5v - 5.44
3.3v - 3.42

i also tried with a weaker PSU 360w cheiftec and same thing is happening

could this be cause of my set up or is the booster busted

thanks

Hi, it's possible that the board is the issue. Do you see the readout on the booster moving or is it in the bios?

In the bios and in Win with MBM both vdimm and vtt fluctuate alot......

edit: so if the booster leds are showing stable voltages, are they correct?

I would check your voltages right on the board and compare them to the booster reading as well.

I trust my multimeter first, MBM second, and bios never.

I have found that some boards will do this. Others are stable as a rock, much more so than without the booster. That does sound like a bit too much flucuation though.

Please list your hardware and we will see what the issue might be. If you have a newer video card you might be having PSU issues.

I got

Abit AN7
Mobile XP @ 2400 mhz @ 1.85v
Radeon 9800pro (modded core @ 1.9v mem @ 2.95)
2x256 OCZ 3200 EL
or
2x512 BH-5
80gb ibm, 120gb maxtor, 120gb wd, liteon dvd-rw
5 90mm fans, 120mm fan and a 80 mm fan
and a Rheobus

Even though i didnt check with a Multimeter im pretty sure that the drops are real since 24/7 i run the OCZ ram @ 230mhz @ 3.2 vdimm (bios setting) but when i run the booster at 3.2 or 3.3 v its unstable

I also tried unpluging all periphelrals only and fans, only leaving one hdd, cpu fan and the 9800pro but same thing happens

i do have epox 8kda3j but i heard of booster being incopatible and mb frying with it so im afraid to try it on that mobo

thanks
