modding a laptop v2000 bios

is there anyway I can mod a laptop bios? I just bought a Compaq Presario v2000 only to find out HP locked the current memory module bus speed to DDR266 PC2100 even though the memory module is a PC2700. Its running a Phoenix Bios.

try open the bios file with modbin 6 :slap:

if not possible... oipen with cbrom..... extract _EN_CODE.BIN file

unlock hidden menu from that file :slap:
