i jsut beat HL1 about 3 hours ago and am so glad i did, the ending is just fantastic and i would be so lost if i hadnt of beaten the old game first!!!

Word to that!!!...just got the new PC hooked up and all and it's waiting for a new FPS to abuse it!!!!!!!!!!! FarCry....85% finished....Doom 3....BEATEN!!.....Half-Life 2 OMG OMG :slobber: :slobber: can't wait!! I see grades dropping slightly in this late november ...early december time period.....work production will most likely also come to a blazing halt...oh well!!! :banana2: :toast: :banana2: :banana2: :banana2: :banana2:
edit: is it just my computer or does the banana smokin' the fat spliff have a little bit more trouble shiftin from side to side than the yellow and purple banana??

I don't know why anyone was preordering HL2 from stores. I had the ATI HL2 Coupon so I got the Gold bundle off of Steam for $40 instead of $90. I am able to play HL2 and HL:Source now. Now I have to wait until they send me the Collectors Box and all. But I am nto worried about when I get that. It will come soon enough. At this point I just want my 3400+ DTR!!!:D

I have had it for a while. I have some "contacts" in the publication industry who have managed to "obtain" me a playable finished version of the game for reviewing purposes. Buying off of steam is just... nasty. Steam sucks!
I have the game. I have had it since it was playable on Steam. It has been preloaded on my machine for playing.

yep I went the steam route also. I actually like steam more than I thought I would. I was up and playing around 3:15am, 15min after it was unlocked here (EST).
Oh so that was when it was unlocked...I was up at 12:30EST or so and it hadn't been unlocked then...I was like I am going to bed and I woke up early around 7:30 and played for a little bit.
I remember when Steam first came to be and no one liked it at first. I kinda like it alittle bit more now. It doesn't bother me too much.

It's a bad ass game. Definatly check it out.
OMG! I was getting into it last night. Come to find out the codes are the same and I was changing levels and advancing ahead...the game is f*cking unreal!! Just the things you can do and how the envirnments reacts to it is so amazing!!! I was taking the crossbow and pinning people to walls and testing the detail limit and so far I haven't even seen the limit to it. I had 4 arrow/rods stuck in a guy and they even went through the wall and I could see them from the other side...came back alittle bit later and he was still there. Then I lit a room up Matrix style with the Sub-Machine gun with atleast 300+ bullets and all of them stayed. This is truely an amazing engine the game uses and the quality is there. You have to see if for yourself to see what I am talking about.
