I can only get mine up to 2.43ghz with the fsb set at 221X11. I havent messed around with the ram timing's, don't really know what to set them at. Can someone lend a hand? Sort of new at overclocking.

I have a an35 ultra motherboard, running a thermaltake volcano 12 fan, with 512mb pc3200 corsair value ram.

Didn't SAE do 3.2GHz benchable?

What ram is it? I can't give you timines without knowing the chips it has.

Is that the information you were looking for? I don't know how to set the ram timing's, and I don't wantto blow the ram stick so you might want to give me some advice on how to do this.

i did 2.875 ghz on my 2500+ but it'll only bench at 2.8 with 2v.. it needs more voltage =( i think SAE is using a 2600+ mobile for 3.2 ghz

Should I loosen the ram timing's at all? I really don't know how to though. Can you give me a suggestion on what I should set it at looking at what it's already at? Also, what should I raise the voltage to?

The multiplier on this is also locked, so I am working with just the fsb.

You can set up ClockGen to restore settings, but I haven't tried it. It tells you how to do it in a .txt file in the directory you extract it to. You make your own .txt file with the settings in the format they give you and then you stick it in your Start Menu's Startup folder, I believe.

Check out ClockGen's download page by clickin' this here link, I reckon. (http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php)

My 2500+ chip did 2.5 stable on air at 1.9 volts - and would boot into windows at 2.6

Guess I've been lucky with socket A cpu's

Had a 1700+ that did 2.4

Had a 2500+ that did 2.5

Have a 2600+ that does 2.8

All on air...

Mobile 2500+
2.76Ghz @ 2.20v - benchable with SP-97 + 92mm Vantec Tornado
2.73Ghz @ 2.20v - Prime95 stable for 6hrs (stopped it myself)

Man. My Mobile 2500+ must be pretty good, then.

I run 2.65GHz for my everyday overclock at 1.825V, and for benchmarking I run 2.7+GHz at 1.875V (although it's stable enough for everyday use).

I've done a Super Pi 1M run at 2.84GHz at 2.00V, but that was definitely not stable.

2500+ Barty

Runs stable at 2520 (10x240) - 1.9v

Boots into windows at 2695 (11x245) - 2.0v

Can get into windows at 255fsb, and boost to 258fsb before bsod regardless of multiplier and overall clock.. :hehe:

Sheperd and I played with a barton some time ago. We alsmost got it primestable @ 3Ghz. The Mach2 was 404 modded, but with way to much gass and orginal cap length.

i have posted a thread about this but my 2500+ (not M, but still bought unlocked) hates me going past 2.2GHz i have found out. I have hit 2.5, benched 2.45GHz, but not fully stable pasted 2.2GHz!!!

what is going on guys?

2.17Ghz = 180 x 12 @ 1.85V

and before you ask 200FSB my chip hates, even at stock it hates 200FSB!

I believe that it's my motherboard holding me back. I didn't know you could raise the chipset Vcore. Do you think that would help me out?The highest I can boot on is 11X221, sometimes 223. Any higher than that and it wont pass the POST.

My old Barton 2500+ my friend has right now and he has gotten 2.5 out of it. I am trying to sell it to him but he doesn't want it. His 1800+ can do the same thing.
