my friend hupperware is getting into this as I..
any of you gamers play halo online?? want to meet up in bloody gultch for some ctf?

problem guys I need a router expert
I have Belkin model f5d5230-4 4 port dsl/cable router... I am trying to open ports 6500 and 6700 as required by gamespy to have XBOXes connect to each other on same subnet and play online games...
I went into my router and set my computer in the DMZ zone and enabled the 6500 and 6700 ports - or so I thought.. when I launch the xbox tunnel through gamespy the software can still not detect my xbox.
What gives?
You should only need to either enable DMZ or fwd the proper ports as far as I know. DMZ opens all ports, to my knowledge :)

I placed my computer in the DMZ and set virtual server with the ports 6500 and 6700 to enable on UDP.. but I get nothing. I got screen shots of my router config files at home... and will post them later on.
I REALLY need to get this worked out as the XBOX does send pings out and the port light flashes on the router .. so it has to be a configuration issue within the router or the computer itself.
