Ive got an IS7 that I just got. I installed it but when I turn the comp on I get a red light, and a beeping noise that wont go away. I cleared the CMOS but it hasnt changed

any tips?

Remove processor and reinstall it. Also do the same for your ram. Check all connections and try again.

Can you describe the "beeping" a bit better, is it semi long beeps, with a shot pause between? If so thats most likely a memory issue.

yeah, long beeps with short stuff..but it might have been the motherboard since that was an Refurb from newegg...i rma'd it and bought a IS7-E which should be here in a day or so, if that doesnt work, ill try the ram out...obviously time isnt an issue for me right now
