i tore apart a psu i had lieing around only to find the rails were adjustable.

ime not sure on the make yet.. but it is cheap.

but here goes the question. i have 3VR's not just 2. VR2 is 3.3v and VR1 is 12v rail.

they are now up to spec. but ime wondering what the 3rd VR is for.. it says the psu can go 250w-350w.. do you think this 3rd VR adjusts the psu wattage?

It might adjust the 5v rail :P

the wattage is just a rating...you cant change it. the 250-350 means how much load should be on it at a time i believe

Since watts are amps * volts. So, depending on the amps your psu can output on each rail, the higher the rails, the higher the wattage. BE CAREFUL! If you adjust too high you will blow the PSU and most likely everything attatched to it! Adjust as carefully as possible!

here it was before.

+3.3v=3.11v
+5=4v
+12=11.2v

now

+3.3v=3.32
+5v= 5.1v
+12=12.2v

3rd could be overvoltage limit adjustment. If you havn't tested it out with a load (like an old harddrive or something) I would advise you do before plugging it into components. Often with no load the voltages are a lot lower then they would be with load. But I get the feeling its already plugged into your computer and running, so best of luck :)
