Also, those are X800XT(500/500), non X800XT PE (525/575).

At allstarshop (http://www.allstarshop.com/shop/product.asp?pid=9109&sid=1QD1GVN49WPS9N8AJR2R1JB5G0F12TQ3)
sale X800XT Platinum Edition Gigabyte for 700usd , damn! they're crazy! :frag:

LoL!, is the only place, where I saw a XT PE in stock for months... with that price, maybe it will remain until Jan XD

Anyway, at this time... I suppose that the R420 has matured. So... Is XT PE worth the money?

BTW ELSA X800 PRO (1.6ns) VIVO fully softmod to XT, is the cheapest card just for 418usd

id never pay more then 600 for a vid card, 2 years ago i said id never pay 400+ well i broke that promise buying a 9800xt for 499 and i rocked, but i didnt use it much.. then i bout a x800p for 479shipped, and then i was hell happy. but i wanted a PE, so i bought a vivo and i got lucky and it modded, and yet i only paid 412shipped for it.

But yea, i Wouldn't pay 600+ for a XT-PE, over 100.00 more then a XT and its only a clock speed difference, and AFAIK the cards are exact but the xt just isn't clocked as high?

if anything buy a pci-E xt-PE for 600ish. but then i dont thinnk pci-E has any benifit yet over agp untill the new cards come out..

I was about 5 seconds from hitting "buy" and went to gigabyte's website... they don't even MAKE a XT PE on AGP....their only XT PE card is PCI Express!!! This card from pcclub is 99% likely a plain XT!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got a giga x800xt from a comp show last week for $465 plus tax. It is clocked at 500/500 so it is just a plain XT? Now call me stupid, but is there really any difference other than clock speed between it and a PE? It has 1.6ns ram and clocks to about 560/570. The box does not say PE anywhere on it, but looks just like the one pictured. and the card is exactly like the one pictured except mine has the yellow connector near the molex, and a rage theater chip.

So seeing as I didn't know there was a difference between PE's and XT's should I sell this and look for a PE or just be happy with what I got?

Hard to say that extra 30mhz overhead room that you COULD get from X800XT PE is kinda nice :) But you could get better cooling and do the same with your existing card. even zalman fan bracket helps :)

Nope...I don't think the prices will drop on these cards...the 9800XT is a prime example, since that thing held retail forever.

power color for $699. If I didn't have an XT I would think about it, but I just can't see $700 for a video card!

well I just got my sapphire in, and it is indeed a PE. It is OEM as I did not realise that when I bought it, but big deal. A PE for $599 is not to bad. Just thought I would let you all know. Now I need to decide which of my card's to sell to pay for this beast.

which x800xt overclocks the best in yalls opinion

i remember seeing in a thread here a few weeks ago that the sapphires tend to overclock the highest

ZZF has had sapphire x800xt AGP for 499.99 for like a week now, i figured they'd of sold out in a heartbeat, maybe its because its that ugly :p
