thanks i have a dumb question. how do you get the mach head mounted vertical like that?

I see there instructions say it can be done, but i dont see how? sorry Im new to this. Maybe it takes a different bracket? i have the p4 mounting kit but the plastic brackets only go on one way......I think

I had that board for about a week, last week and I would say no.
it's a extremely tight fit even for my waterblock that I adapted to it.
it's been about 6 months since I used a prometeia, but I would be suprised if it fit.

what my picture of it fitting on there isnt good enough for you?

no, it's not.

you know why?
cause thats not the board he's talking about.
thats a nice shot a DFI NF3 but thats not the board he's asking about.

I've owned the prometeia and am familiar with it's size, and most importantly, the size of the cooling head.
I've also used the board he's asking about, the 875T.
I've seen first hand how little room there really is around that CPU.

so no, it's not enough.

it might fit....try it! If not you can sell the board and get one that does.

today i tried to mount my LS on the board...i could just use the block itself as the clamshell didn't fit because there are to many things near to the socket.
my chip does 4.35ghz with boxed cooler so i was very interested in what I could do with Phase Change.

i stopped the experiment when i saw some smoke above the evap :D

fortunately it was something else and not board/cpu ;)

so I guess Mach I won't fit properly, either. but with a little modding it should as the elkos are very flat...
