As the title suggests Monarch Computer has dropped their prices on all the AMD chippies I glanced at in expectation of AMD's official price drop next week. If you're looking for an AMD CPU I don't think anyone is currently matching Monarch's prices plus they throw in free shipping. I have no connection with Monarch but I do regularly scan CPU prices at ZZF, New Egg, Mwave, and Monarch. As an example the Winchester 3000+ 939 OEM chip is $150. , that's right $150. !

woah that's a big drop from $315 to US$279
In OZ on Nov 8 were get a AUD$15 drop or US11 for AMD64 2800+ to 3500+ heh
i think this before the price drop cause the 3000 chip has always been 150 atleast the last few times ive been on the site looking at it. now that 2800 754 chip for 120 bucks is beyond amazing!! now that 3500 for 270 is nice i rember when it was 389 at the egg!!

Yeah Monarch and Mwave have both dropped their prices on the AMD CPUs before the "official" Monday price drop. New Egg only dropped a little. ZZF to likely drop over weekend.

I think the drop has something to do with the retail releases. For a couple days the 3500+ was 315 and the retail box was 316. Then today I check and bamf ~30$ drop on the oem. Woohoo is all I have to say.

The Retail Box has been available at numerous stores for awhile. There was an official AMD price drop on 11-8-04 but Mwave and Monarch dropped their prices late Fri. in anticipation of the official Monday price drop.
