Hey, I want to go LCD now and I think I'll go with a 23" one.

Im thinking of the Apple 23" Cinema or SONY PREMIERPRO SDM-P232W.

What is the best (at least 20inch+) lcd out there? If money aint a issue.

I will often play games (HL2!!!) and browse the net and more.

Thanks
Arnar

i dont advise you to get the phillips/lg 23" panel. get the samsung 24". even with its relatively high specified response time you wont notice ghosting

Apple should be your first choice. Check its native resolution and see if windows supports it.
If I remember correctly Sony had unacceptable response times for gaming.
I am not sure about the LG 23". Usually they have very good panels, but the 0 pixel guarantee does not apply to these large TFT's.
Samsung is also a vary good alternative to Apple. The successor to 240T (i don't remember the model name exactly) should be great...

I think I'll get the 23" apple.

it is: 1920 x 1200

Which is in windows as well and has 16ms and looks very very nice!

Doesn't the apple require some sort of dual DVI support from the vid card? I remember hearing this somewhere...

dude....if you really want a big screen...

get a front projector. if you get a good one and do some research, then you will have a 9 foot monitor. while there are pros and cons to each, i would get a projector since theyre much bigger and can be used for other things besides computer...ie tv and home theater.

if you are at all interested, just pm me and i can give you more information about projectors. but if uve got limited space or just cant live without a lcd...then thats fine

WOW!!!
As the article said....everyone expects more for 1500pounds!
Does this mean the 23" LG is also out of the question as a potential big screen TFT??? I guess so...

o thanks for the clarification, i wasnt sure if projectors could respond fast enough to play games, i might have to consider getting one myself (half life 2 would be fun really big!)
