Hey, I have an IBM some number 2.4 ggz p4. Ok heres the deal. This computer has its BIOS locked so the bios that loads up is the one customized by IBM. I cant even check my mobo model (in Cpuz it comes out as
"IBM"). Most prbably its intel. Cause its IBM. Ne way, i have a few questions which i wud beg for ne one to answer:
1. I knw that a BIOS is a ROM. But what is it? PROM or EPROm, etc. If it is an EPROM i dnt see no UV earaser.
2. What is meant by Flashing a BIOS? If it means that saving changes to it dsnt that mean every time u change something, it already saves it?
3. And More important, Given the situation, How do i unlock my BIOS? or hw do i change my fsb or Voltages? and increase the the Clocks of My RAM and stuff?
