Problems sending mail

Hey,
Am working on dad's laptop at the moment trying to fix a problem, everytime we try and send an email we get error 550 administrator prohibited? and aparently sometimes it comes up with an error 500 but i havent seen this myself. anyone got any idea what is causing this? i have checked all the settings and they all look right to me. :confused:

I have come across this myself but never quite got to the bottom of it but I think it was Nortons Antivirus that was causing it. If you are running NAV try turning it off and see what happens. BTW it was not happening because of viruses.

thanks for that, i will pass it on to dad, i do believe he has all the norton stuff on his laptop (firewall and antivirus and stuff) i run AVG and have never had problems before like this.
