drift with a '90 prelude? isn't that FWD ?
i drift with my Ford escort MKII RS2000 (1979) RWD.
Maybe in the next few months ill join some amateur drift challenge for the fun of it!

ehh, i know you probably know this but drifting is nothing like on nfsu!! it actually takes balls and skill.. ya my prelude was FWD, doesn't mean you can't drift though, just can't power drift, you used either shear speed and cornering technique or the e-brake to get the tail to slide out and then counter steer just like in a normal drift, its kinda easier than RWD, but not nearly as cool look! drifting is an advanced racing technique in which you force your car to over steer then with acceleration, braking and steering you control it through the turn and in effect you go sideways! it was started in the 80's by a street racer in japan who is know as "dorifto kingu" or aka "Kaichi"(i think thats his name?) anyhow its really cool looking and fun as hell, really addicting too!! the best part about it though is that its not just about one car being better than another, its actually mostly about style and pure driving skill(to be able to control a loss of control, is how i like to call it), ya though i can't wait to get to the states so i can build my rwd drift beast, and maybe i can enter a competition and drift during the day!

I don't think you can drift with a FWD. You can slip over all four wheels but you can't drive vertikal.

Go to Maine in the winter everybody there does it or they park in a snow bank.
My FWD GranPrix when cornering if you give it too much gas goes straight...

Keichi Tsuchiya is the name and i don't think it actually started by him. Became popular? i agree.Anyway drifting with a FWD takes out 60% or more of the fun (according to me always)...

it's just for those that still don't quite understand what drifting is despite R.Rabbit's nice explanation... http://www.rostechdesign.com/supradrifting.mpeg

EDIT: i found another link at "safer" website ;)

i wish i had videos to show you, but its kinda illegal so making evidence isn't a good idea, but trust me you can! i've done it many times and seeing as how i live in the drifting capitol of the world i'd think i'd know what a drift is! man that supra did one sick ass drift! if any of you guys have gran turismo 2, inside the manual under advance racing it tells you how to drift in every type of car(RWD, FWD, AWD) its really good too, it actually helped me out a lot when i was first starting!
