The 1.36 beta bios allows up to +18% vcore. The latest 1.37 beta (which helps with some false start power problems) knocks it back down to +10%. If anyone knows how to mod a MSi K8N Neo2 bios to reenable all options like 1.36 had, please PM me.

Okay the DFI UT has all the tweaker stuff in there.

If we could figure out a way to shoehorn ANY of it into the msi k8n neo2, this would be a EVEN MORE OF A KILLER board for DC. Any thoughts?

adding new features into bios menu.... seem impossible :(

but if we can build memtest 86 into the bios

and install

OCZmemtest86
they got the stuff to change the timing... that will do the job ;)

here is the beta 137 modded with extra voltages & every existing option turned on:

http://www.svcheats.com/MSI_Neo_Plat2_939/beta/trats/W7025NMS_137mod.zip

update:
I tried the 137mod beta and the 13/15/18% vcore settings will not stick (like in 136) after saving and re-entering bios they go back to 1.55v default. (check in hadware monitor). The highest one that will stick in 137 mod beta is +10%. That seems to give me 1.76-1.79vcore, so maybe it's enough.

In 1.36 bios the 13/15/18 % vcore settings worked.

Well, can anyone check to see if there is certain temperature reading info on bios that can be negated... (this is in regards to vaporphase cooling crowd whose have had hips with winnies)

some people are reporting that the 141 fixes the sub-zero temp issues

1.3b6 and 1.4b1:

After 1.45 VID, only way to get more vcore is by upping the % (at least according to the bios).

So that is about 1.75 for me in 1.3b6 and 1.64 in 1.4b1

Has anyone else seen this?

mind asking how you guys flash the bios on the NEO2 mobo? i've tried through Live Update 3.64 but there is no link to set it up through this program :(

Byron, run the live update utility and update it to the latest version. Now go through the normal procedure, download their crappy bios and when it comes to the crunch where it tells you it is ready to flash your bios, stop everything. Put your downloaded beta bios in a folder somewhere else and rename the file to W7025NMS.130.

Go to C:\Program Files\Setup Files\MS-7025 v1.30 where the MSI update utility has downloaded your supposedly new bios and delete it. Now copy and paste your beta bios into that folder. Switch back to the screen that says it's ready to flash your bios and go ahead. Reboot and you're done, new bios updated.

hi there, for the 1.41b bios is there no way to get more than 1.6v on winnie ? i have not windows installed yet, but could it work with msi core center or clockgen ?

finally the 1.41b does work in my vapochill LS , temps reading -52 degrees on LS, now there is the low vcore voltage problem :(
