xt800xt-pe resolution question

Hi there ATI owners,

as it goes currently for a lot of people its very hard to decide whether
to go nvidia or ati ...same to me but there is one big question (important for me) i have for ati owner.

With the newer Deto driver you can set a custome resolution
like in my case 1024x640 easiliy

Question : is that the same with catalyst drivers??

There is probably a program that allows you to set custom resolution, but you cannot do that by default with the Catalyst drivers.

thats acually what i though ....its sad.. cause that mean i again
"when i would buy a ati" have to fight with powerstrip which i dont like
so much .. well that just means 1 + point for nvidia...
why is it so complicated to make the right choice ahhhh.
